BDlot DVD Ripper User Guide - CUDA-enabled DVD Ripper Now is Faster than ever before!

Step 1: Download and install BDlot DVD Ripper.

Step 2: To get DVD ripping process started, there are three ways to do it.
1. Run the program and then insert the DVD, please wait and the program will load the DVD automatically.
2. If it is not completed automatically, you can load the DVD by clicking "Disc" button.
3. If you want to use the DVD folder on your hard drive or USB to load the DVD, you can also click "Folder" button and select DVD directory.

Step 3: Check DVD Info in the File List Window.
Since a DVD may contain many titles, if you want to save hard disc space, you can select only the main movie which usually has the longest time to rip, without converting unnecessary titles, such as commercials or cast. Meanwhile, by dragging the slider bar or setting the "Start Time" and "End Time" in preview window, you can preview any part of the DVD.

Step 4: Please go to the output type area and select the output format.
You can convert DVD to AVI, WMV, MP4, MPEG, FLV, MOV, etc. And you can also convert DVD to compatible formats for portable devices, such as iPad/iPad 2, iPhone, iPod, PSP, Mobile phone, Zune, Zen, etc.

Step 5: If you want to customize the output setting, please go to the "Output Settings" area.
1. You can choose audio track and subtitle language for the audio of DVD from the corresponding drop-down list.
2. If you want to change or get rid of the subtitle, you can find a satisfactory choice from the corresponding drop-down list.
3. If you want to change the output folder from default folder to a desired one, please click "Browse" button in Output folder area to choose a destination folder to save your converted DVD format. For a smooth and successful conversion, we strongly suggest that you designate a non-system partition as the destination folder.

Step 6: Start DVD ripping process
When you finish all the above-mentioned steps, and then you can start ripping by click "Start" button. You can see the whole conversion process and are able to cancel the converting process at anytime. Besides, you can also choose to shut down your computer or open the output folder when the conversion is done.

How to Trim and Crop Video?

1. If you want to clip a certain part of the DVD, you can open "Trim and crop" settings by clicking below button.

2. To get the partial segment at your will, you can drag the time slide bar to set ripping start & end points, or set "Start time" and "End time" directly.

3. If you want to get your favorite scene picture in the DVD, you can use "Snapshot" button to grab it.

4. To get a better output video effect, you can crop the frame size of a movie image, cut off unwanted area of a video to feature a highlight, or crop DVD video to remove the black bars.

5. Click "OK" button, and you are good to go!

Other Useful Tips

1.If you want to make background music of a DVD into MP3, you can extract it from the DVD by clicking "to Music" in the output format area after the DVD inserted is successfully loaded.

2. If you want to convert DVD to compatible formats for portable devices, here take "to iPod" as an example, the various preset types of profile setting can definitely meet most of your requirements on output video format. When you select one from the drop-down list, you don’t have to set other parameters below.

3. If you want to get better audio quality, you can adjust the number of "Kbps" and "Audio Sample Rate". Usually, the higher both numbers are, the better quality the audio will be and, of course, the larger the output file will be. And you can even get a louder volume at will.

4. If you want to get better video quality, you can adjust the number of "Kbps" and "Video Frame Rate". Usually, the higher both numbers are, the better quality the video will be and, of course, the larger the output file will be. And you can achieve this purpose by using "High Quality Engine". Besides, according to your preference, you can set output image and select a video resolution you want.

5. If you encounter problems, such as the DVD is interlaced, the video and audio are not synchronized, the conversion is not smooth and fast, you can solve these problems by applying corresponding function.

6. To get a clear and organized content of your output files, you can compile the name of these files by yourself.

7. If you load the wrong DVD disc or DVD folder by mistake, please click "Clear" button to remove it.

8. You can also get more file settings by clicking "Options" button, where you can select audio & subtitle language and output folder, set specific parameters for your portable devices, and rename files in a well-organized way.
